The Paso Robles Pioneer Museum is a wonderful
collection of visual and written history.
our mission to preserve the cultural heritage
of California's Paso Robles area through well-organized
and detailed displays, historical literature and
education. In documenting and explaining
the past, we are helping to retain the values
that are foundational to our future.
Morning: 10:00 Parade through downtown Paso
Afternoon: Pioneer Museum's Open House from 1:00
Children's Activities, easy-to-listen-to Music
by the Pineridge Bluegrass Band, Spinners at
work, Quilting by Sandra Engle, Demonstrations
Tractors used in the parade will be on display,
as well as small engines in the park next to the
Wed., Oct. 28, 29, and 30, from 5:00 to
Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5:00 to 7:00
Family Fright Night at the Pioneer
An old-fashioned spooky haunted house will
feature scary storytellers, some ghouls, games
for younger children, and a lot of surprises.
The front parts of the Museum will remain open
during regular hours, but at 5:00 spooky
storytellers, bringing local legends to life
aided by some well-times sound effects, will
inhabit some of the displays.
As the groups move from story to story, the
effects and the story will become scarier and
scarier. There will be a few surprises thrown in
just to keep the visitor on their toes! Visitors
will approach the ramp (closed during the week
of Oct. 25), where they will enter our own
spooky Museum world. There will be a nominal
admission charge ($2 per person or $10 per
family) for the FUN event.
